E3M Members Attend International Sustainability Forum
Recently, Professor Zhang Lin and other E3M menbers participated in the 2025 HKQAA International Sustainability Forum. Prof. Zhang gave an impressive presentation on evaluating HKQAA's new Structured Data Disclosure Model, which designed to address delays, high costs, and biases in traditional sustainability certifications. With over 1,200 attendees from various sectors, the forum highlighted the model's potential to enhance global ESG practices. [May.2025]

E3M member won the ISETS-ESCAP global award
Mr. Xinya is a PhD candidate in E3M and also the CFO of PoWater. PoWater won first place in the North-East Asia division and third place in the Global Final of the ISETS-ESCAP Youth Voice Competition. Xinya was also selected as an ISETS Youth Committee member for drafting the ISETS Youth Declaration and delivered a speech at the 13th IFESD held in the UN-ESCAP Headquarters in Bangkok. [Dec. 2024]
Prof. Zhang approved for Basic Research Special Fund
On November 5th, Prof Zhang was approved for the 2024 Annual Basic Special Research (Shenzhen Natural Science Fund) General Program. The research program is A Study on the Income Distribution Effects of Emission Reduction Policies under Carbon Neutrality Goals. [Nov. 2024]
E3M members selected for the Hong Kong Scholars Program
Dr. Ruting Wang from Sun Yat-sen University has successfully been selected for the 'Hong Kong Scholars Program' to join Professor Zhang Lin's team. The project is set to last for two years. She is one of the two economists endorsed among all applicants. [Sep. 2024]

E3M Team Visits Germany
From May 20 to 24, 2024, Prof. Zhang led the E3M team on a visit to RWTH Aachen University. During the visit, the team engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as CBAM policy and advancing related international cooperation initiatives. [May 2024]
Prof. Zhang Selected as U.S. Department of State's SUSI Scholar
Professor Zhang was selected as a U.S. Department of State's SUSI Scholar in Economics and Sustainable Development. The program selects approximately 18 outstanding representatives globally each year for academic exchanges at U.S. higher education institutions. [Mar. 2024]
Prof. Zhang's Participation in French PEPR Project Secures 1.68 Million Euro Funding
Prof. ZHANG, in cooperation with Prof. Aude Pommeret from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, has been granted a 1.68 million euro fund from PERP (France). Prof. Zhang is the primary overseas PI in this project. [Dec 2023]

HK RGC-Germany DAAD Joint Research Scheme Granted
Prof. ZHANG, in cooperation with Prof. Praktiknjo from RWTH Aachen University, has been granted the RGC-DAAD joint research scheme project on CBAM and decarbonization. [Dec 2023]
NSFC-RGC Research Scheme Granted.
Prof. ZHANG's project was granted by the NSFC-RGC. This is one of the only two projects approved in this funding project this year. [Nov 2023]
