Departmental Assessment Requirement Effective from Semester A 2014/2015
Dear ACE students,
Please be informed that ACE Department has gone through a review on the assessment criteria on all courses offered by us. To enhance positive learning attitude among students, and to encourage participation in both coursework and examination assessment components, the following departmental assessment requirement will be implemented starting from Semester A 2014/2015:
(Where courses are assessed by a combination of coursework and examination.) "To pass a course, a student must obtain minimum marks of 30% in both coursework and examination components, and an overall mark of at least 40%."
The above ACE assessment requirement would be applicable to all courses under CA course codes at B2 (except courses for AScAS programme under 5-digit course codes), B3, B4, P5, P6 and R8 levels (i.e. courses with course codes CA2xxx, CA3xxx, CA4xxx, CA5xxx, CA6xxx, CA8xxx, CA8xxxM respectively).
GE courses offered by ACE will follow the same ACE assessment requirement.
The latest "Information on a Course" (Form 2Bs) will be available from ARRO's, SGS's and ACE's websites before the commencement of Semester A 2014/2015. Course Leaders will also provide you with the latest course information in their first lesson, or via Blackboard or other forms of communication.
Should you have any enquiry, you are welcome to contact the Course Leaders concerned or ACE General Office (tel: 3442 7609 or email: [email protected]).
