Friends of the Earth (HK) is currently inviting the organizing committee of orientation camp (O Camp) to join their campaign - "Green! O Camp Project 2015".

Green! O Camp project aimed to raise the eco-awareness of local tertiary students by inviting student organizers to implement green measures in their orientation camps. Last year, over 3,000 tertiary students pledged to take green actions in their camps. A significant reduction was observed - over 100 kg of food waste was reduced, 3,000 items and 2,000 pieces of A4 paper were saved. More than 800 pieces of surplus items were collected and redistributed to the needy.

For Green! O Camp Project 2015, main theme and programmes are as follows:
- all O campers are invited to echo the "Green Bottle O Camp" - to bring their own bottles to reduce one-off disposables
- O camp organizers are invited to echo suggested green actions and compete for the Green! O Camp Awards - the five greenest O Camps will each win a green activity subsidy
