CityU Delegation – Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2024:
Prize Presentation Ceremony and Reunion Dinner (9 March)
After participating in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong (SCHK) Marathon 2024, the CityU Delegation organised a prize presentation ceremony and reunion dinner on 9 March 2024 with the objective of reinforcing its commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in the university community.
The participation in the SCHK Marathon holds a special significance as part of CityU's 30th Anniversary celebrations. This year, we are proud to have over 800 CityU runners registered in the CityU Delegation, with 335 participating in the 10-kilometer race, 270 in the half marathon, and 207 in the full marathon. During the ceremony, certificates were presented to alumni and student volunteers of the CityU Delegation, followed by prize presentations and sharing by the top 5 runners in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km run.
Mr Gabriel Ho and Ms Vera Kong, Standing Committee Members of CityU Convocation, attended the ceremony and received their certificates of volunteer service along with other alumni volunteers for the CityU Delegation at the SCHK Marathon on 21 January 2024. Following the ceremony, a joyful reunion dinner was held to celebrate the success with the runners and volunteers.
