Counselling Graduates Association Professional Talk: Walking with Children (9 August)
On 9 August, the CityU Counselling Graduates Association (CGA) hosted a compelling talk titled "Walking with Children". The event drew an audience of around 30 MSocSc Counselling alumni and students. The attendees received a warm welcome from Ms. Roberta Lee, the President of CGA, and Prof. Annis Fung, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences, setting an engaging tone for the evening.
The highlight of the talk was a stimulating panel discussion featuring different professionals in the field. Dr Patrick Cheung, Chairperson of Against Child Abuse, shared valuable insights alongside Mr Henry Wong, Chairman of the CityUHK Social Work Alumni Association, and Ms Yvonne Chan, Senior Play Therapist of Hong Kong Play Therapy and Counselling Centre and MSocSc Counselling graduate of CityUHK. They brought their perspectives to the discussion, enriching the dialogue with their practical experiences and expertise in the field. The panel's shared passion for supporting children made for an enlightening and inspiring session for all participants.
