Convocation's Mid-Autumn Celebration at the Elderly Centre (7 September)
To promote a spirit of caring to the neighborhood local community, the CityUHK Convocation organised a team of 15 alumni volunteers to visit the elderly at the Methodist Church, Hong Kong Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service Sham Shui Po Nursing Home cum Day Care Service, and celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival with them on 7 September.
Guided by Mr Gabriel Ho, Vice Chairman of the Convocation and registered social worker, our volunteers interacted with the elderly participants through a range of enjoyable and engaging activities. Additionally, Mr William Khoo, the Convocation's Chairman, showed his care to the elderly by sponsoring gift packs for them.
