Counselling Graduates Association Professional Sharing: The Path to Counselling (16 December)
The CityU Counselling Graduates Association (CGA) organised a thought-provoking professional sharing session titled "The Path to Counselling" on 16 December 2024, with around 40 MSocSc Counselling alumni and students in attendance. Ms Roberta Lee, the President of CGA, commenced the event with an opening message to all participants, sharing updates of the Association.
The session showcased the experiences of MSocSc Counselling alumnus Mr Jonathan Chau, along with two MSocSc Counselling students, Mr Nexus Pang and Ms Diana Wang. They narrated their individual journeys and insights into becoming counsellors. Following their presentations, participants were grouped together, with each speaker leading a group discussion session. This format facilitated meaningful interactions, allowing attendees to engage with diverse perspectives and experiences as they rotated through different groups.
For the participants, this event served as a priceless learning opportunity, offering practical advice and guidance for their future careers in counselling. The sharing session not only encouraged knowledge sharing but also cultivated a supportive community atmosphere among students and alumni of MSocSc Counselling.
