COM Research Seminar: Post-conference Presentation by PhD students

On September 16, 2024, the Department of Media and Communication hosted a dynamic post-conference seminar, where nine doctoral students showcased their research, initially presented at the annual conferences of prestigious academic organizations, including the International Communication Association (ICA) and The International Conference for Computational Social Science (IC2S2).
The presentations covered a diverse range of topics, from Artificial Intelligence and Technology Governance to Fan Culture, Health Communication, Science Communication, Media Studies, and Crisis Communication. This seminar provided a distinctive platform for the students to not only present their innovative findings but also engage in deep and constructive discussions about their implications and future directions.
Prof. Guanxiong Huang meticulously reviewed each presentation, offering specific and insightful feedback designed to enhance the students' future research and presentation skills. The seminar attracted approximately 25 participants, including faculty members, Ph.D. students, and scholars from various disciplines.
