COM’s two elite swimmers won 3 gold medals at the 59th USFHK Aquatic Meet!

Congratulation to Michael & Season!
Department of Media and Communication (COM) is proud to share that Year 4 Student Ho Chung Lun (Michael) and Year 1 Student Ng Sze Kwan (Season) have both achieved remarkable success at the 59th The University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (USFHK) Aquatic Meet, winning 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal. Both joined us through the Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission (SALSA) Scheme and represent the Hong Kong Swimming Team.
In her first university competition, Season made a remarkable debut by winning two gold medals: one in the Women's 50M Freestyle with a time of 27.52 seconds and another in the 100M Butterfly with a time of 1:03.69. She also represented the CityUHK women’s team, securing 2 silver medals in the Women’s 4x50M Medley Relay and 4x100M Freestyle Relay. Her outstanding performance contributed to the CityUHK Girls’ Team finishing as the overall second runner-up.
Meanwhile, Michael defended his title in the Men’s 200M Butterfly (2:06.50), marking his fourth consecutive year winning this event. He also collected a silver medal in the Men’s 100M Butterfly, wrapping up his last USFHK meet with a remarkable performance.
