The PhD program trains future scholars to investigate the structure, processes, and effects of media communication across various aspects. Students will receive rigorous training in theory and methodology, preparing them for bright career paths as faculty members at universities. We are currently inviting interested parties to apply for our PhD programs and welcome students to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), which provides an
attractive monthly stipend of up to HKD $28,100 and a conference and research-related travel allowance to support your full-time studies!

Application Procedure:
Step 1: Applicants must first register on the RGC’s Online Application System (OAS) and obtain a reference number
before December 1, 2024 (12:00 noon Hong Kong time).
Step 2: Applicants are required to submit a full application, including supporting documents, to CityUHK through our Online Application
System on or before December 1, 2024 (11:59 pm Hong Kong time).
