Dr. Laurent Timmermans is an entrepreneur, management consultant, and academic dedicated to supporting businesses and individuals in their entrepreneurial growth.

He is the founder and Managing Director of ATHENASIA Consulting, a boutique accounting and consulting firm established in 2012. ATHENASIA specializes in assisting global entrepreneurs with a comprehensive range of business services, including company incorporation, company secretary, accounting, auditing, taxation, business planning, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Dr. Timmermans began his career as a Performance Consultant with Dale Carnegie Training and later contributed as an Organizational Behavior consultant for the Hong Kong MTR extension. With a passion for education, he is also a committed educator and corporate trainer, boasting over 35,000 online students. Throughout his career, Dr. Timmermans has balanced roles in both the private sector and academia, serving as a lecturer and part-time lecturer at various universities.

Academically, he holds two master’s degrees in Management Sciences and Labor Sciences from UCL Belgium and earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration in 2022. His doctoral research focused on Chaos and Complexity in Business, particularly their influence on management practices, planning, and corporate culture. Dr. Timmermans teaching and research interests include Chaos and Complexity in Business, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Business Planning & management, and leadership & Organizational Behavior.
