Professor Xunli Wang, Chair Professor and Head of the CityU Department of Physics, visited Bowen Chen and Chennan He, two physics students who are studying in New York City through the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme established by CityU and Columbia University. The talented students were enjoying their learning experience at Columbia University very much.
The College of Science is proud to announce that 10 scientists have been listed as Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers 2022.
To meet the market demand for science talents and nurture students who are interested in scientific research or starting business ventures that involve innovative technologies, the College of Science introduced the “Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship (GREAT)” undergraduate programme in 2021/2022. The Programme Leader and three current students were interviewed by MingPao earlier.
CityU has made remarkable achievements in recent global rankings. There are some very good results and great leaps in science subjects in which the College of Science has played a very important part.
This year's CityU Information Day was successfully held on 22 October 2022 in hybrid mode, attracting more than 10,000 visitors on campus and even more joining online. The College of Science (CSCI) has prepared a series of activities, including online and on-campus talks on admission and development opportunities, as well as lab tours, with the participation of our faculty members, alumni and students.
The College of Science congratulates Professor Alain Aspect on winning the Nobel Prize in Physics 2022 with John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger, “for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science”.
