The CityU X Sino Grand Challenges Scholars Program (the Program), which acknowledges the patronage of the Sino Group, supports 160 engineering and science students at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in receiving training and mentorship by industry leaders, attending overseas summits, and undertaking summer research projects from 2021 to 2025 to address the most important engineering problems in the world.
Three faculty members from the College of Science have received the President’s Awards 2022 for the remarkable achievements in their respective academic arena in support of the University’s enhancement and development.
The College of Science launched three awards in 2022 to recognise the excellent performance of our faculty members. The awards were presented to three outstanding faculty members by the Dean, Professor Chun-Sing Lee, in November.
Students from Newman Catholic College visited the College of Science on 26 November to get familiarise themselves with the University and were warmly greeted by faculty and staff members from the College, the Office of the Provost and the Admissions Office.
Professor Xunli Wang, Chair Professor and Head of the CityU Department of Physics, visited Bowen Chen and Chennan He, two physics students who are studying in New York City through the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme established by CityU and Columbia University. The talented students were enjoying their learning experience at Columbia University very much.
