Nine scholars from CityU are awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Research Grants Council (NSFC/RGC) Collaborative Research Scheme (CRS) and Joint Research Scheme (JRS) funding for the year 2023/24.
The State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution (SKLMP) at CityU was awarded the prestigious Gold Award at the Hong Kong Green Innovations Award (HKGIA) as part of the 2022 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE). This recognition highlights the remarkable achievements of their team in the field of green innovation. Organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee of HKSAR Government, the HKAEE is renowned as the city’s annual “Oscars of Environmental Protection.”
The College of Science is proud to announce that 10 scientists have been listed as Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers 2023.
Research achievements of Professor Kenneth Leung, Associate Dean (Research and Postgraduate Education) of the College of Science at CityU, were recently featured in a news article on the website of The Croucher Foundation.
With an aim to promote science knowledge in the community, the College of Science has organised the CityU Science Video Competition 2023, which has attracted over 150 teams of secondary students to create interesting videos that explain scientific principles or phenomena. The winning teams gathered for an award ceremony on 28 October 2023 to celebrate their achievement.
Co-organised by the Office of the Provost and Deputy President and the College of Science, the CityU Science Patent Challenge 2023/24 has attracted nearly 60 secondary school teachers and students to join the intellectual property workshop on 14 October 2023.
