At the 4th Asia Exhibition of Innovations & Inventions Hong Kong (AEII), three Gold Award-winning and two Silver Award-winning teams comprise members from the College of Science (CSCI).
CityUHK has performed remarkably well in the latest global rankings: named Hong Kong’s No.2 in both the inaugural “Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025 in association with Schmidt Science Fellows”, and the ShanghaiRanking’s “2024 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)”.
Three research projects led by City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) outstanding scholars have been awarded funding under the 2024/25 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Research Grants Council (RGC) Collaborative Research Scheme (CRS), . Professor Jeff Ou Zheyu, Chair Professor of the Department of Physics, takes the lead in one of the projects.
The College of Science (CSCI) again hosted a conversation with Professor Serge Haroche, the 2012 Nobel Laureate in Physics, on 22 November. Titled “Exploring Frontiers: A Conversation with Nobel Laureate in Physics”, the sharing has attracted almost 100 participants.
Fifteen scholars from the College of Science (CSCI) were named Highly Cited Researchers 2024 by Clarivate, which accounts almost half of the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) list of 32 awardees.
