The College of Science co-organised the first lecture of the "Distinguished Lecture Series on Applications of Mathematics in STEAM World"; with the Education Bureau (EDB) on 10 February 2023 and Professor Chi Hou Chan, Acting Provost and Director of State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves, was invited to deliver the lecture on "Wireless Technology". About 400 secondary school principals, teachers and students attended the lecture on CityU campus.

Programme delegates met with prospective students for the College’s taught postgraduate programmes online, at a live information session held on 11 January 2023.

The CityU X Sino Grand Challenges Scholars Program (the Program), which acknowledges the patronage of the Sino Group, supports 160 engineering and science students at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in receiving training and mentorship by industry leaders, attending overseas summits, and undertaking summer research projects from 2021 to 2025 to address the most important engineering problems in the world.

The College of Science is proud to announce that 10 scientists have been listed as Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers 2022.

To meet the market demand for science talents and nurture students who are interested in scientific research or starting business ventures that involve innovative technologies, the College of Science introduced the “Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship (GREAT)” undergraduate programme in 2021/2022.
