Prof. Pfeiffer Delivers Keynote Presentation at 9th One Health Bangladesh Conference

The 9th One Health Bangladesh Conference was held in Dhaka on 17–18 September 2017. The Conference was convened to analyse the current situation, identify the challenges and explore possible solutions for One Health challenges in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The five thematic areas selected for the conference were ‘Emerging Infectious Diseases and Zoonosis’, ‘Food Safety and Food Security’, ‘Antimicrobial Resistance and its Containment’, ‘One Health Governance, Advocacy, Communication and Policy’ and ‘Ecosystem Health and Conservation’.

Prof. Pfeiffer (Director of the Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice and Chair Professor of One Health) had been invited to give a keynote thematic presentation titled “BALZAC - An interdisciplinary project for developing interventions reducing avian influenza transmission in Bangladesh’s poultry trade network”.
