Prof. Pfeiffer (Chair Professor of One Health) was a keynote speaker at the 2018 ‘Global Alliance for Research on Avian Diseases’ conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, held from January 17 to 19, 2018

The conference aims to enhance the linkages between researchers and the poultry industry in the development and implementation of new tools for preventing, controlling and combating avian diseases. The meeting provided a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas about dealing with emerging and existing infectious avian diseases in poultry production systems and to safeguard food supplies and human health.

Prof. Pfeiffer gave a presentation titled ‘The interaction between birds, people and avian influenza’.
