The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) proudly celebrated the graduation of its Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, Master’s, and PhD students at the JCC Commencement held on 10 June 2025.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Philip Chamberlain, Managing Director of Chamberlain Veterinary Services, who delivered an inspiring address as the Guest of Honour. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Chamberlain for making the journey from Australia to join us on this special occasion. Drawing from his distinguished career, Dr. Chamberlain shared invaluable insights on career pathways for veterinary medicine graduates and the essential qualities needed to thrive in the profession.
Dean Vanessa Barrs presided over the ceremony and commended the graduates on their achievements. In her address, she encouraged them to embrace the next chapter of their lives with passion and determination as they pursue their veterinary professional and personal aspirations.
This year’s commencement marked a historic milestone with the first graduating cohort of the Master of Public Health from the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health, as well as the inaugural PhD graduate from the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. They now join the esteemed JCC alumni network, which includes graduates from the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, Master’s and PhD programmes.
As these exceptional graduates embark on diverse paths in veterinary medicine and life sciences, JCC is confident that they are well-prepared to make meaningful contributions to their fields and society at large.
