Prof. Dirk Pfeiffer, Chair Professor of One Health, was a Plenary Speaker at the “One Health and Outbreak Surveillance Symposium– Integrative Strategies against Infectious Disease Outbreaks” in Singapore on July 13, 2018. He gave a talk entitled “One Health Approach - A Holistic Perspective for an Ever More Complex Future” to industry players from human, animal and environmental health sectors as well as local research and academic institutions involved in animal and human disease control in Singapore.

Co-organised by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) and the Centre of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Research (CIDER) at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, the symposium provided a platform for sharing of current research and outbreak experiences between experts in the public and private sectors.
