Professor Olivier Sparagano (Professor of Veterinary Parasitology) has been appointed as Acting Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health Health in the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences.

Before joining CityU, Prof. Sparagano held the position of Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research) at Coventry University, UK, and Professor Michael Reichel, the Dean of the College, says he ‘brings a wealth of tertiary education sector management experience to the post'.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Professor David Hampson for his past service as Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health. Dean Reichel said, 'I thank Prof. David Hampson for his role in overseeing a tremendous growth in faculty, staff and facilities in the department during his tenure'.
