On August 25th, The Department welcomed the new batch of MNE UG students.
The orientation started with a welcome speech by Prof. PAN (Head of MNE) - highlighting the department's strengths/recent achievements and introducing each academic member from the department. Then, Prof. LI (Associate Head of MNE) shared great tips on succeeding in university life, emphasising key academic parameters to pay attention to (The CGPA).
Other speakers from the event include Dr. LUK (Lab Manager: Safety Orientation), Prof. YANG (A.E. Major Leader), Prof. ZHANG (M.E. Major Leader), Prof. ZHAO (NRE Acting Deputy Major Leader) - For majors introduction, Dr. Victor LAU (Associate Director KTO: HK Tech 300 entrepreneurship programme Into), Mr. Stephen BOLTON (Associate Head of CFML CSL Language Centre), Mr. Muaz KHALIL (President of MNE Student Chapter) and Mr LUKIC Vojin (3-year M.E. student: student sharing)
The orientation was rounded up with a Department Lab Tour, showing the new students the major labs within the MNE department.
