The NS Department held its annual retreat on 14 May 2025 at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis, providing a collaborative platform for faculty discussions on departmental initiatives.

The event began with an opening speech from Prof. Jufang He, Head of Department. New initiatives, including the establishment of the Human & Artificial Intelligence stream, updates on the Minor Programme, and developments in the Master’s and Research Degree programmes were thoroughly discussed. Attendees actively participated in discussions, collaborative brainstorming, and strategic planning, all focused on enhancing the department’s goals and fostering excellence in research and education.

As the NS Department moves forward, we are eager to build on the insights and outcomes from the retreat. By harnessing these discussions, we aim to foster positive change and enhance our contributions to research and education. Together, we can seize new opportunities and work towards our collective vision for excellence.
