Prof. Alicia An and Dr. Farid’s Review Article on Advancements in Nano-enabled Membrane Distillation is Published in Advanced Materials Journal

Prof. Alicia An’s group published a review paper entitled "Advancements in Nano-enabled Membrane Distillation (MD) for a Sustainable Water-Energy-Environment Nexus" in Advanced Materials Journal (IF 29.4). Leveraging on their expertise in engineering advanced MD membranes and system configurations for water and energy applications, in this review, the authors explored the latest breakthroughs in nano-enhanced MD technology. Their comprehensive review covers the desirable properties of nano-enabled MD membranes, recent innovative MD applications, the challenges impeding scale-up, and outlines a future roadmap for sustainable commercialization.  Their work will inspire future research and development in fully harnessing the potential of nano-enabled MD membranes for a sustainable nexus.
