SEE student awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship 2017
The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) congratulates Miss Yiran Chen, our Year-2 undergraduate student, for winning the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship. Miss Chen is only one of the 5 recipients from City University of Hong Kong.
When asked about her plans, Miss Chen replied, “The scholarship will support my overseas exchange so as to widen my knowledge in energy and environmental studies. My ultimate goal is to solve the global environmental crisis. I am grateful that the scholarship allows me to travel the world and learn from the brilliant individuals I am going to meet.”
The Scholarships Presentation Ceremony was held on 23 May, attended by The Honourable Geoffrey Ma Tao-li (the Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal), Dr Simon Ip Sik-on (Chairman of The Hong Kong Jockey Club), Professor Way Kuo (President of CityU), and other local university presidents.
SEE is extremely proud of Miss Chen’s achievement!
