SEE undergraduate student team was shortlisted to enter the "City I&T Grand Challenge" Grand Pitch
Three undergraduate student delegates from SEE Student Chapter, Mr. Cheung Tim Yiu, Tim (Year 3 Student, BEng in Environmental Science and Engineering), Miss Man Hiu Ching, Flora (Final-year Student, BEng in Environmental Science and Engineering) and Mr. Wong Yiu Lun, Tony (Final-year Student, BEng in Energy Science and Engineering) formed into a team to take part in the “City I&T Grand Challenge”. After stringent selection, the team was shortlisted to enter the “City I&T Grand Challenge” Grand Pitch with the project “Kind’erGarden - A novel technology to reduce single-use utensils and containers”. The team aspires to reduce single-use utensils and containers by the innovation of an Apps.
Organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) together with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), Hong Kong’s first ever City I&T Grand Challenge concluded its two-day Grand Pitch and Finale at Hong Kong Science Park on 16 October 2021. Winners were selected by a judging panel consisting of nine representatives from the government, industry, academic and research sectors, the competition concluded with a great success.
