Welcome to SEE Corner !
Attended by around 40 participants in total on 20 and 21 October 2021, the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) successfully organized its first-ever SEE Corner, two identical mingling sessions intended for freshmen. Through the SEE Corner, the School wishes to develop a close bond between faculty members and freshmen, and to facilitate freshmen in planning their 4-year studies and career development in terms of the co-curricular activities at an early stage.
On top of casual chats among the participants in small-group setting, Dr. Patrick SIT, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of SEE, presented various key milestones recommended for all SEE undergraduate students in the sessions. Experience sharing by Mr. CHAN Dick Long (final-year ESE student), Mr. CHOI Man Ho (third-year EVE student), Mr. KIOE Felix (second-year ESE student), Miss LAM Kam Sze (final-year ESE student), Mr. LEUNG Cho Fung (third-year ESE student), and Mr. WONG Yiu Lun (final-year ESE student) also enabled freshmen to have a clearer picture of how SEE undergraduate students could achieve the expected graduate attributes through the different milestones.
As remarked by Professor Chak K. CHAN, Dean of SEE, freshmen should start planning and take appropriate actions now given the diverse opportunities offered by the School throughout the years, on the understanding that freshmen probably feel puzzled at the beginning of the university life. Professor Chan also encouraged freshmen to come and talk to the School whenever they encounter any problem.
SEE looks forward to the active participation of more and more freshmen at the School activities, and the growth and development of each of them !
