11 Research Students (RS) and the Graduate Studies Coordinator of SS, Dr. Marcus Chiu visited three Universities in Taiwan in the period 29 April – 2 May 2019. Three SS students presented their research ideas and works at the National Taiwan University, together with four presentations by PhD students from the Sociology and Social Work Departments of NTU. It has been a very fruitful exchange forum for research students on both sides. As part of the trip, nine of our research students attended two postgraduate psychology classes at National Taiwan Normal University. Another session was at the National Taipei University where two of our students and three of theirs also took turn to present current research work. As a whole, the trip is a wonderful opportunity and experience to boost the confidence of our RS, sharpen their presentation skills, broom their critical thinking, and consolidate the friendships with peer Universities and departments.
