The seventeenth Dialogue Series with Consuls General was held on 17th November 2022. Ambassador OKADA Kenichi, Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong, talked with over 50 CityU students and staff on the topic of “Opportunities in Japan for Future Studies and Career Development”. Professor Raymond CHAN, Vice-President (Student Affairs), delivered a welcoming speech at the beginning of the seminar.

Ambassador OKADA shared his journey of being Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong, and discussed the culture of Japan and various linkages between Japan and Hong Kong. The audience enjoyed his introduction very much and numerous questions about further study and business opportunities in Japan were raised.

The Dialogue Series with Consuls General continues to enrich students’ global consciousness and cross-cultural understanding.
