From July to August 2023, 85 volunteers from the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) spent 510 hours in 9 community services and served 271 beneficiaries.
CEP volunteers devoted more time to in-person services, such as Visiting Disneyland with the elderly, Life Story Book Creation for the elderly, Caring for the elderly living in care homes III, Visiting Energy Centre and taking photos with the elderly, Bazaar with “Mini Boss” and Visiting Energy Centre and drinking CityU milk with children, etc.
At the same time, students put a lot of effort into youth services through the activity “Empathy Hotline for HKDSE Candidates 2023”. This service aims to enhance volunteers’ communication and counselling skills through a series of training, so as to help HKDSE candidates and their families overcome emotional difficulties.
We are happy that all participants enjoyed and learned so much in the activities!
