The second performance of CityU Arts Festival 2022/23, "Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra: Chinese Music in the City," was successfully held on 18 October. It was the first time to have the prestigious Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO) participated in CityU Arts Festival. Despite the adverse weather, it had not stopped the audience's enthusiasm for the concert.

The concert kicked off with the song "Prelude of Dagger Society" (soundtrack of the movie "Kung Fu Hustle"). Later on, a series of Cantonese and traditional music were presented, including "The Dragon Boat Race," "The Tiny Shan Pui River," etc. The Orchestra Ensemble also re-arranged jazz and pop music, "Sheng Quartet: Suite from Miyazaki Hayao's Animation Pictures," "The Moon Is Like My Heart," and so on. Toward the show’s end, hundreds of audiences were invited to participate in the song "Tang Resonating (Excerpts)", concluding this incredible performance.
