On 18, 1, and 20 November, CityU students brought superb performances with the classic musical "Fiddler on the Roof", drawing a full house of audience each day.
The actors wore gorgeous tailor-made costumes and presented a series of songs and dance performances, including the complicated "Bottle Dance" brought by the villagers at the wedding scene, the lively performance "To Life" brought by the villagers and soldiers, and the ghost, Fruma-Sarah, standing and singing on the 2-metre high platform in the scene "The Dream" etc. Our cast members vividly portrayed different roles in the musical, such as the traditional family man Tevye and his wife Golde, the three daughters who break the traditions and pursue their lifelong happiness, and the villagers and soldiers, showing the results of CityU students' hard work in the past six months!
The end of CityU Musical also concluded the CityU Arts Festivals 2022/23. Once again, thank you to all CityU students, participating artists and art organisations, and all staff members, especially the overwhelming support from the audience.
