This year's CityUHK Arts Festival came to a perfect ending with the Chinese Music Concert C-Power on 16 November 2024.
Musicians from CityUHK Chinese Orchestra, HKU CA Chinese Orchestra, CUHK Chung Chi Student Chinese Orchestra and HKUSTSU Chinese Orchestra presented a Chinese music gala featuring pieces of different styles, including The Rite of the Harvest Year, Rose in Desert and Undulating Waves in the Wheat Fields. More than 70 new-generation musicians performed The Impression of Mountain and Sea and Fishermen's Song of the Eastern Sea as the concert's finale, showing their powerful energy and passion for Chinese music.
This year, the festival marked the milestone by recording over 10,700 ticket registrations, with more than 4,500 audiences attending the concerts on campus. Echoing the festival's theme this year, “What's NEXT?”. We will keep improving with the audience's applause and acclamation.
