Writing "Spring Festival Couplets" is a traditional Chinese custom. To offer student residents a chance to express their new year blessings in Chinese, Korean, Japanese and even Hieroglyph, the SRO organized the “Couplets Writing for the Year of Dog” jointly with Library and Calligraphantasy Society at the footbridge leading to Student Residence on 2 Feb 2018. Despite the chilling cold weather, the joyful atmosphere heated over 300 local and non-local residents participating in the event, expressing and giving one another their best wishes of the Lunar New Year of Dog on the red couplets.
