In May and June 2022, more than 150 volunteers from the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) spent 420 hours in eight community services and served over 180 beneficiaries.
With the pandemic's easing and exam completion,, CEP volunteers devoted more time to in-person services, including promoting community care through Human Library Series, reconnecting with the elderly through tablet games, distributing lunch boxes to the underprivileged, and visiting the dog rescue centre and food recycling centre.
At the same time, CEP senior volunteers organised online services for more than 100 children, families, and the elderly. All beneficiaries enjoyed the moment and understood each other more through participating in virtual tours to Lai Yuen, online homework tutorial classes, reading picture books, and making handicrafts with CEP volunteers!
