From July to August 2022, 180 volunteers from the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) spent 1208 hours in eleven community services and served over 860 beneficiaries.
With the easing of the pandemic and summer holiday, CEP volunteers devoted more time to in-person services, including Empathy Hotline for HKDSE Candidates 2022, Phone Call Outreach Service for people with Mental Health issues, making aroma diffuser clips and DIY perfumed candles for Animal Shelter, playing STEM Toys with children with allergies, support final round mock trial competition as a Clerk of Court/ Juror, Goodie Bags Distribution in Kwai Chung, Glocal, having city hunt with Children in Central and Western District, and Stanley.
At the same time, students made lanterns and wrote cards to the elderly living in care homes in order to send Mid-Autumn Festival blessings to them. Over 300 lanterns of Tiger and Rabbit and blessing cards were sent out as a message of warmth and care to them.
