On 27 January 2024, CityU Choir participated in a concert co-organised by Qi Chuang Social Services Centre and CityU in Guangzhou, marking their first overseas performance after the pandemic.
The Choir’s performance was well-received by over 200 audiences from Guangdong. In addition to their performance, the Choir members visited a Ukulele orchestra at Kangle Primary School. They met Professor ZHANG Xin, the well-known conductor and professor from Xinghai Conservatory of Music, on this 3-day-2-night exchange tour. All members learnt a lot of choral singing skills during the masterclass with Professor ZHANG and will present more exciting performances in the near future.
