The City University of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra Annual Performance, "Kaleidoscope", successfully completed on 10 March 2024! 500 audiences gathered at Sha Tin Town Hall to enjoy the beauty of Chinese music.

The concert theme, "Kaleidoscope", is inspired by the Chinese old word to describe the dazzling array of pearls and jade in the eyes. Akin to the optical instrument that reflects the images of coloured glass, this concert features an array of Chinese songs in different styles and charms of the Orchestra's repertoire, covering the East and West, North and South of Chinese culture.

The Orchestra performed a series of masterpieces wholeheartedly, including "The Good Fortune Brought by Golden Dragon", "Rain Pattering on Plantain Leaves", and "Apsara", weaving a night with folk, Guangdong and Dunhuang music. Thanks to the students, alumni, and friends of the CityUHK Chinese Orchestra for bringing us this musical feast, and thanks to the support of all sectors of society!
