城大校長張信剛教授在緊迫的行政事務(wù)中，仍不忘與學(xué)生分享知識(shí)。10月7日，在擠滿了100多位聽衆(zhòng)的 中國文化中心(CCIV)視聽室，張教授分享了他對(duì)「伊斯蘭教傳入中土」的見解與觀察。他說自己是從一個(gè)好奇的觀察者的角度講述有關(guān)題目的，吸引了穆斯林與非穆斯林、學(xué)生及學(xué)者前來聽講。

校長張信剛教授與中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)校長朱清時(shí)教授在6月13日於蘇州工業(yè)園簽署框架協(xié)議書，成立「中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)──香港城市大學(xué)聯(lián)合高等研究中心（蘇州）」。
