The Bicultural Self Symposium, co-organized by the Department of Applied Social Studies of the City University of Hong Kong and the Department of Psychology of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaigne, took place 16-17 August, 2004.
An international symposium promoting the exchange of ideas on the economic, political social and cultural developments arising from the changing relations between China and Southeast Asia was held at CityU March 24-25. An exhibition by acclaimed Spanish contemporary artist, Josep Vernis, will be held 9 to 19 October at the CityU Art Gallery. 城市大學(xué)與加拿大的西安大略大學(xué)簽訂學(xué)生交換協(xié)議，為兩校學(xué)生提供交流機(jī)會。
城大與美國休斯敦大學(xué)制訂了交換生協(xié)議。去年年初，應(yīng)用社會科學(xué)系兩名社工課程三年級學(xué)生熊冬玲及黎鳳儀被送派赴美交流。由於該校沒有開辦社工學(xué)士課程，兩人遂「跳級」修讀碩士課程。留學(xué)期間，兩人的學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)超卓，熊冬玲同學(xué)取得4.0分平均積點(diǎn)的驕人成績，黎鳳儀同學(xué)也拿到3.89分的優(yōu)異成績。
百多位來自世界各地的與會者於7月10日齊聚城大惠卿劇院，參加第八屆語言及社會心理學(xué)國際會議的開幕儀式。
