CityU's 2000-2001 Annual Report and Financial Report won a Bronze prize in the Non-profit Making and Charitable Organization category in the 2002 Best Annual Reports Awards organized by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). At a ceremony on 16 December, Professor Y S Wong, Vice-President for Administration, received a trophy on behalf of the University from the organizer.
Two former Linkage student reporters received their bachelor degree awards this year. Ms Casey Chow and Ms Coan Wong, graduates of the BA in English for Professional Communication, succeeded in landing jobs in the field of journalism right after finishing their programme of study. They said that the experience of working for our University Publications Office (PUO) helped a lot in the job hunting process.
As part of its community service initiatives, the Public Affairs Office (PAO) has published a handy 32-page reference booklet for media and other members of the community who want to contact CityU's faculty members.

CityU's 2000-2001 Annual and Financial Reports took two prizes at the 16th Annual International ARC Awards, the world's largest annual report competition.
ThinkTo further promote research on cultural interactions between the East and the West, the Centre for Cross-Cultural Studies, in cooperation with City University of Hong Kong Press, plans to publish a cross-cultural study series. With CCCS Director, Professor Zhang Longxi, as the chief editor, the series will consist of significant historical documents as well as original insightful writings on cultural interactions between China and the West.
以「開(kāi)拓知識(shí)聯(lián)繫世界」為題的城大2000-2001年報(bào)經(jīng)已出版。年報(bào)總結(jié)了大學(xué)過(guò)去一年的成果，包括已達(dá)到了為期五年、目光遠(yuǎn)大的「曙光」發(fā)展策略的目標(biāo)。
由城市大學(xué)出版的《中國(guó)文化導(dǎo)讀》，獲選為本年度的「十本好書(shū)」之一。這項(xiàng)盛事由香港電臺(tái)與康樂(lè)及文化事務(wù)署合辦。
