In a visit to Beijing 5-9 September 2004, a CityU delegation led by the President, Professor H K Chang, further strengthened the University’s collaboration with mainland partners in the areas of the humanities, social sciences, media and communications.

In a further push into the mainland China market, a five-member delegation from CityU visited Wuhan in the province of Hubei , 5-8 July 2004. The main purpose of the trip was to ascertain the training needs of relevant Hubei provincial government offices and to explore possibilities for CityU to offer training programmes to Hubei civil servants.

為了加強城大與歐洲院校的學(xué)術(shù)交流與聯(lián)繫，校長張信剛與新委任的對外聯(lián)絡(luò)合作處總監(jiān)朱國斌博士，在一月十四至二十日到訪法國、比行時及英國三間盛名大學(xué)。是次探訪成功為城大與該三所大學(xué)之間建立一套協(xié)作架構(gòu)，加強雙方的聯(lián)繫和合作機會。
為了豐富學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗，香港城市大學(xué)一向鼓勵學(xué)生參加學(xué)生交換計劃。參加該計劃的學(xué)生可向?qū)W生交換基金申請資助，到與城大簽有協(xié)議的海外大學(xué)留學(xué)一年或半年。成功的申請者可獲旅費、住宿及其他雜費多達一半的資助。
