香港的新一代應(yīng)該如何裝備自己，才能成為未來的領(lǐng)袖？在2月26日由工商科技局與《明報》合辦、於香港城市大學(xué)舉行的第四屆「飛躍香港未來計劃」上，城大校長張信剛教授與200位中學(xué)生和40位大學(xué)生分享了具有前瞻視野的看法。
爲(wèi)迎接大學(xué)四年制，大學(xué)已開始多方面的籌備工作，並積極加強本科生教育及豐富學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗，校長張信剛教授就此構(gòu)思了新的組織架構(gòu)。
張信剛校長與40多名新當(dāng)選的學(xué)生領(lǐng)袖在2月18日進(jìn)行了一場真情對話，張教授將東方哲學(xué)家的智慧與《聖經(jīng)》、《達(dá)芬奇密碼》、韓劇《大長今》及他個人的經(jīng)歷交織在一起，為「如何成為好學(xué)生及好領(lǐng)袖」提供了富有啟發(fā)性的看法。
校長張信剛教授於1月26日至29日，率領(lǐng)一個六人代表團訪問北京，與國務(wù)院港澳事務(wù)辦公室常務(wù)副主任陳佐洱先生和教育部官員會面。此外亦會見多位高等院校及內(nèi)地傳媒機構(gòu)的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，加強城大與內(nèi)地機構(gòu)及院校的聯(lián)繫，創(chuàng)造更多在學(xué)術(shù)和其他領(lǐng)域的合作機會，這方面已取得滿意進(jìn)展。

國家教育部副部長張保慶先生率領(lǐng)70人代表團，於1月18日來訪城大。代表團成員包括國家教育部代表、各省市教育官員及院校代表。
Renowned Turkish writer, Mr Orhan Pamuk, concluded the Distinguished Lecture Series with a discussion on Ottoman painting and the influence of Western art on Eastern painting—the predominant theme of his prize winning novel, My Name Is Red. His lecture attracted a full house at the Wei Hing Theatre, 25 November.
