Several institution-level research centres and laboratories have been set up to promote synergy in environment protection and sustainability.

Hong Kong Institute for Clean Energy (HKICE)

HKICE aims at pursuing highly interdisciplinary and collaborative initiatives to drive innovative clean energy solutions for tackling challenges to global net-zero carbon emissions. Our determination and vision manifested in HKICE's plan are grounded on six pillars: energy generation, energy storage, energy-saving, energy distribution, smart city, and energy analysis and policy.
