香港城市大學化學系副教授郭駿傑是一位青年科學家，專注研究RNA與基因調控，以至形成癌癥等疾病的關係，於2022年獲取「國家優秀青年科學家基金項目」(港澳)。外界戲稱帶領研究的教授是實驗室的「老闆」，但郭駿傑不喜歡這個稱呼，他雖然對徒弟要求嚴格，但自認為不是一位「惡師父」。除了對徒弟們傾囊相授之外，他更有感自己最大的責任，是努力尋求研發資金，保障隊員衝鋒陷陣時沒有後顧之憂。
