To enhance a sense of belonging to the University and stimulate residents’ creativity, Student Residence Office has organised the Inter-Hall Music Video Contest on CityU Anthem with the theme of “Beyond Boundaries” in April 2021. Motivated by their Residence Masters, residents from all halls produced 11 music videos and submitted to the Judging Panel that consisted of the CityU President, three Vice-Presidents, and an Associate Vice-President.
Finally, Yip Yuen Yuk Hing Hall and Jockey Club House won the championship. Their music video was awarded for its outstanding performance in terms of its musicality, the vocal quality of Mainland and International students, and professional video shooting that synchronised the cast and video scenes with the lyrics of the Anthem. The 1st runner-up of the contest went to Jockey Club Harmony Hall, followed by Jockey Club Academy Hall with the 2nd runner-up.
