Description
Principle
- Electroflocculation is a technique involving an electrolytic addition of coagulating ions directly from sacrificial electrodes, and so to remove emulsified oil and grease content from the wastewater.
- During electrolysis, the coagulating ions are dissolved in wastewater and they coagulate the emulsified oil and form small flocs, which flows at the water surface.
- The floating flocs can then be easily removed from the surface and collected as sludge.
