Mr Billy Lam is Farm66’s founder and COO, an expert in plant factory's water quality, nutrient solution development and production management. He is also the director of Urban Green Investment Limited for seed fund in Farm66. In 2008, Mr Lam completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Chemistry at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) with Grade A in graduation thesis. He has substantial knowledge in chemistry. After graduation, Mr Lam has worked in different branches at Starbucks Coffee for 5 years, helping the company to open flagship shops and provide training for its staff. Mr Lam is familiar with store operations, P&L management and has a rich experience in staff management, product quality and standards.
In 2014 & 2017, he was invited by the Department of Chemistry of CityU to develop hydroponic water and nitrate rapid test technologies and organic nutrition in a project funded by the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) and Sustainable Agricultural Development Fund (SADF). He is a committee member of the Urban Agricultural Technology Association.
