Chairman, Angel Investment Foundation
Mr Ivan Shum currently leads the Angel Investment Foundation and manages angel investment fund, focusing on investing in early-stage innovation and entrepreneurship projects, providing start-ups with matching funding, entrepreneurial loans, and providing investors with up to 70% of the original price buyback guarantee to promote more investors to actively invest in start-ups. The accumulated investment, buyback guaranteed amount, and grants of more than 200 million Hong Kong dollars have been allocated, covering nearly 100 winning projects in entrepreneurial competitions.
At the same time, he also actively participates in many social affairs, including undertaking the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Funding Scheme funded by the HKSAR, serving as a member of the Innovation and Technology Advisory Group of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a member of the Steering Committee of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and entrepreneurial mentors, and an entrepreneurial mentor of the Hong Kong Design Centre, and the founding Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Insurance Association. He was also invited to serve as a judging panel of various international entrepreneurship competitions, including Alibaba Create Competition, Maker in China International SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Qianhai Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
