An NLP-based tool to help SMEs with ESG reporting
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong lack experience in environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting. Our project aims to help SMEs better understand the ESG principles and requirements published by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) and complete their annual ESG reports in order to help attract potential investors. We will develop a tool, using natural language processing (NLP) to automate this process and save SMEs time and resources, while allowing them to comply with the ESG principles and requirements, improve their ESG performance, and attract socially responsible investors.
